Spritfabriken Ödåkra 1897

20,000 square meters of historic buildings.
Built in 1897 and for a century the buildings served as the distillery for Helsingborgs Spritförädlings AB, producing the Ödåkra Taffel Aqvavit since 1899.
Recently multi-artist and developer Andreas Wargenbrant acquired the buildings, with his friend Martin Haase entrepreneur. And with careful respect for the heritage and architecture of the buildings, he is now in the process of turning Spritan into a creative space for arts, fashion and food.

Photos, updates and announcements will be posted on Instagram @spritan1897

All done!

Andreas Wargenbrant

Andreas Wargenbrant is primarily known for his sculptural works in bronze and marble. As an autodidact, he has always stood on the side of formal education, and the institutional framework. He works in a postmodernist tradition and explores sculpture’s origin. With clear associations with the wooden horse, he questions one of our most beloved national symbols and stand in wonder before what we perceive as Swedish aesthetic.
